The club now supports other catamarans and has always been around the Angola New York area with homes at Point Breeze, Grandview Bay, Bennett and Wendt Beaches. In 2005 we moved to our new location at New York State's Evangola State Park in Angola, New York, where we currently have about thirty-five boats that are stored and beach-launched.

]]> We normally start sailing around Memorial Day and continue through September, closing on the first Saturday of October.

If you have questions or would like membership, contact Wyatt via email. Fleet 119 had forty-eight boats compete in our 2006 July Regatta, and eighteen in the Long Distance Witter Cup.

When you least expect it, a weakness in rigging can result in the loss of your mast. I hate when that happens. Prevent injury and worse yet, embarrassment, by thoroughly checking all shroud and stay wires for fraying or cracks in hardware and swage fittings. Any through fittings at the hull and the hull itself should also be examined and tightened so they do not work loose or begin cracking. A visual inspection can find most problems.

Tall ship sailors were pretty tough and checked their wire rigging by running them through their calloused hands until they caught on a frayed wire. Ouch! You may elect to have your crew perform that procedure.

This years Hobie Kenobie was a great success. We would like to thank all of you who spent the time to help with the event, we would like to thank the folks from South Shore for allowing us to hold the event on their beach, and of course we would like to thank the sailors who traveled from far a wide to race in the annual event. Without you this event which we lok so forward to each year would not be possible.

The following is a album of the weekends events. Check out the pics from Saturday's intense racing, the party there after, and a few others tossed in for good measure.
